Charles Paxson Orndorff, of Trevose, Pennsylvania, passed away after a short illness on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol, Pennsylvania. He was 89 years old. He was born on June 4, 1929 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Charles graduated from Lansdowne High School in 1947. He met the love of his life, Bertha A. Knor, and married her on June 27, 1951. They were married for 51 years until her death in 2002. Charles was an engineer for Bell Telephone Company of Pennsylvania and following his retirement, was a member of the Pioneers. He also served as a Sergeant in the United States Army. His children and grandchildren remember him as a loving man who cherished his family. Charles was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan until the end. The family would like to thank all the wonderful nurses and physicians at Lower Bucks Hospital who cared for Charles during his final days.
Charles is survived by his three children: Charles A. Orndorff (Sandra), Sharon F. Pruchnic and Steven G. Orndorff as well as his four grandchildren: Dr. Rebecca L. Orndorff, Jennifer N. Moyer (Derek), Mathew C. Orndorff (Aimee) and Breanna A. Orndorff and two great- grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Charles on August 8, 2018. Visitation will held at Lamb Funeral Home at 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am with services from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.
