Siham R. Sakran, age 73, of Porter, Texas, passed away November 11, 2024. She was born in Al-Bireh Ramallah, Palestine to Awad and Namee Rafidi on February 11, 1951. She graduated from Al-Bireh High School and later received an Associates of Applied Sciences degree from Aquinas Junior College in Nashville, Tennessee.
She was married to Mounir Sakran on December 17, 1977.
Siham worked in the field of respiratory care. She was a registered respiratory therapist and was a neonatal/pediatric respiratory care specialist. She achieved the level of Assistant Director and worked the majority of her career at what was Northeast Medical Center Hospital.
Siham had a passion for Arabic food, going places, and most of all, her family. She loved her husband, children, and grandchildren.
She is survived by husband, Mounir Sakran, her sons, Fr. Michael Sakran and Mario Sakran, her grandchildren, Michael Sakran Jr., Gabriel Sakran, and Mariamna Sakran, her brothers Nasser Rafidi and Riyad Rafidi, and her sisters Naheel Khawaja, Wafa Hsu, and Esmehan Kshou.
A viewing for Siham will be held Sunday, November 17, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at St George Orthodox Christian Church, at 5311 Mercer St, Houston, TX 77005. A funeral service will occur Sunday, November 17, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at St George Orthodox Christian Church, at 5311 Mercer St, Houston, TX 77005. A committal service will occur Monday, November 18, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home & Cremations, at 21723 Aldine Westfield Rd, Humble, TX 77338. Light refreshments will be served at the funeral home afterwards.
