Ronnie “Ron” Ford Liles, age 66 of Humble, passed away October 12, 2016 at Herman Memorial in Houston. A native and life-long resident of the Houston area, he was a graduate of M.B Smiley High School, “Class of ’68” and a U.S. Army veteran. Ron worked as a Production Manager and Salesman for several Houston area oil industry machine companies including Texas Area Specialists and most recently Ronco Machine & Manufacturing. He was well known by family and friends for his guitar playing and singing all kinds of music, including songs by Al Stewart, James Taylor, Jim Croce, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Garth Brooks and many others. Ron loved to golf and was always ready to entertain with a good joke or random trivia fact. He was dearly loved and will leave a hole in the hearts of his family.
He is survived by his sister, Glenda Weilbacher (Keith) of Humble; one nephew, Mark Smith (Rosy) of Magnolia; two nieces, Stephanie Smith Hillard (David) of Humble and Nikki Holloway (Billy) of Cragford, Alabama; four great-nieces; five great-nephews; one great-great niece and one great-great nephew plus a large extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Rev. Henry Ford Liles and Elnoria Snider Liles and an infant sister, Linda Nell Liles.
