Mr. Orbie Harris

Mr. Harris was born September 20, 1935 in Vernon, Texas to the late, Opal Inez Russell and Orbie Othal Harris. He basically grew up in West Texas and attended the College of the Mainland. He was a lifetime Iron Worker, and held numerous positions with the local 135 Union, where he was a Past President and Business Manager for the organization. Labor issues were a passion of Orbie’s and he spent countless hours investigating and studying the issue. He enjoyed traveling and watching old classic movies.

Orbie is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 57 years, Billie Harris; and a son, Jim Harris.

He is survived by sons, Orbie Harris III and his wife Mary of Spring and Mike Harris and his wife Karen of Pullman, WA; grandchildren, Michael Harris and his wife Brandy of Texas City, Orbie Harris IV and his girlfriend Marah, and Michelle Conti and her husband Jeff of Spring; great-grandchildren, Charlie and Harris Conti, Ashton Harris, Brandon Henscey, and Jared Goss.
