Olivia was called to be with our Lord on the 4th of August, 2020. She passed away peacefully with her family close by. She was born on the 29th of September to Mr. and Mrs. Feliciano Rodriguez. She was preceded in death by her mother, Olita Balli Rodriguez, when she was only 12 years old.
She married Mr. Lupe (Rod) Rodriguez on the 3rd of April 1948. They were married in St. John's Catholic Church, in Ennis Texas. Olivia was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She was devoted to her Catholic faith and held a position of Church Parish Council at St. James Catholic Church. She was a room mother to all three of her daughters, at the same time all through all eight years of Holy Name grade school.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years.
She was one of eight siblings. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Eloisa Garcia and Irene Regalado of Waco Texas. Also her sister Uvelia Hernandez of Houston Texas. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Alfonso Rodriguez of Alvin Texas, Federico of Cincinnati Ohio, and Rubin of Odessa Texas. She is survived by her sister, Ella Streavel of Anaheim California.
She is also survived by her three daughters, Margaret Rodriguez, Sandra Pechal, and Sylvia Ciatmitaro, and her son-in-law, Charles Ciarmitaro. Her grand children are Jamie Fernandez, Marissa Cesario, Ann Marie Ciarmitaro, and Mia Ciarmitaro, Michael Pechal and Danny Pechal. Her great grand children are Olivia Roden, Joseph Bailey, and Jordan Bailey. Her great grand children are Jackson and Bennet Fernandez. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Olivia lives in a rural area dedicated to farming in Bardwell Texas. Her young brothers and sisters lived and worked together on farm land. The general harvest was cotton and fruits and vegetables. They all attended school and church as a family and they became well known as a faithful and loving family to all that they came in contact with. As young teenagers they attended community dances and all of them were quite popular. They grew to be successful in their lives, good parents, and contributing members of society and faithful Christians.
Olivia was kind, thoughtful and generous to all she met. She touched the hearts of all she knew.
Her services will be held at St. James Catholic Church on Aldine Westfield Rd. There will be a rosary, followed by a celebration of the mass and private burial on Monday the 17th of August 2020. She will be laid to rest in the National Memorial Cemetery with her husband.
She will live forever in our hearts!
