Michael Peter Krause

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Peter Krause, who passed away on October 4, 2023 at the age of 54. Mike was born in Livonia, Michigan, to loving parents, Pete and Sharon Krause, and he was a cherished brother to Casey (Stephanie) Krause and Timothy (Heike) Krause. He was also a loving uncle to Samantha Ferguson, Mianna Krause and Joey Krause.

Mike’s journey in life was marked by remarkable achievements and unwavering dedication. He attended Livonia Churchill High School where his exceptional talent earned him a full wrestling scholarship to Michigan State University, where he excelled in the sport. From there he went on to marry Beth Krause and have four beautiful children, Jacob, Andrew, Bella and Ava.

Many knew Mike as Coach Krause, a beloved figure in the world of youth wrestling. He touched the lives of countless young athletes across the nation, coaching and mentoring them with a unique style that combined positivity, intensity, and an unshakeable belief in their potential. Coach Krause was widely recognized as one of the greatest youth wrestling coaches in the nation, leaving an indelible mark on the sport and on the hearts of those he guided. His legacy will continue to inspire generations of wrestlers to come.

But above all else, what Mike held most dear in life were his four children: Jacob, Andrew, Bella and Ava. They were the center of his world and his dedication to their growth and happiness was immeasurable. Mike’s legacy lives on through them, a testament to his enduring love.

Please join us in celebrating Mike’s life on Wednesday, October 18, at Ward Presbyterian in Northville, Michigan. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am. A luncheon will follow the service, providing an opportunity for family and friends to share stories and memories of this remarkable man.

Michael Peter Krause’s memory will live on in the hearts of his children and family, the wrestlers he coached, and all those who were fortunate enough to have known him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
