Well, here I am.  Just got this off the net from my daughter, Terry.  Been doing a lot of remembering of all the trouble you got me in cause you always said "I'm gonna tell Mom."  I think I am still carrying some of the bruises.  LOL.  I miss you terribly.  But you know that.  Now you and Shirley are probably sitting there laughing at this old fool trying t o cope with my loss.  I remember kicking the volley ball on Van Buren street on  Sunday mornings.Walking to school "four miles.  Uphill,  Both ways.  In a snow storm.  40 mile an hour winds."  Thats what I told my kids.  I could fill up this  book with Memories but  It wot bring you back.  I just wanted to say I know  I didnt show  it often, but you were my hero.  I miss you very much.  I love you cause you were the stable one and I was the loose cannon.  You girls have fun and I will join you later.  Got things to do here.  Geuss thats why I  am still here.  Love and miss you. Mary Ann, you were a force that drove many a nurse to be an even better nurse! You were not called Momma for nothing. I remember many a time, when you yourself had no money, but you found some to brighten the day of another less fortunate than you. Over the  last 20 plus years, both at Parkway and MH, you taught many to strive to be better, gave confidence to the timid, show compassion to others, treated others like they were family, and always reminded me that when we had awful days in the ED, tomorrow would be better. I will truly miss you and love you, rest now in knowing you fought the good fight!!! And you won,

Mary Ann was a wonderful nurse and person. I have known her since the old Parkway days. Her knowledge and persistence in doing the right thing always impressed me. I respected her as a person and know that we will miss her always. She had that gruff exterior but underneath she was truly an amazing person who knew more about nursing than anyone I know. God Bless You Mary Ann, and God help your family through this heartbreaking time. You will truly be missed and will stay part of my heart.
