Manuel Joel Rodriguez, 19, of Houston, Texas, officially passed May 19, 2017 as a result of a swimming accident in Huntsville, TX. He was born on December 26, 1997 in Houston, TX. He attended Lone Star College, hoping to transfer to Sam Houston State University where his sister attends, and wanted to work in Music and major in engineering or architecture. Manuel graduated from Andy Dekaney High School in 2016, where he was in ROTC for his 9th grade year and took his favorite Woodshop class. Manuel recently had his first job at Foodtown as a cashier and was loved by many of his coworkers who had nothing but good things to say about him.
Manuel is survived by his parents Elmo and Jeannette Morales of Houston; his sister Yvette Flores and his brother Anthony Morales of California. He also leaves his maternal grandparents, Robert and Yolanda Rodriguez, and his paternal grandmother Linda Alejandro. He is also survived by his great grandparents Hilda Rodriguez, Danny and Maria Rodriguez. He is survived by his brother-in-law Chris Flores and his two nephews Noah and Isaiah Flores, and his niece, Leah Morales. He is survived by his best friend Caydin Kosak and many more close friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Manuel Moralez (2016) his great grandmother Rosa Rosales (2015) and great grandfather Frank Rosales (2010).
Visitation will held on Monday, May 29, 2017 from 5-8PM and Funeral Services will be Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 10AM. Both services will at Calvary Hill Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Daniels officiating. Interment in Calvary Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Chris Flores, Robert A. Rodriguez, Caydin Kosak, Jimmy Johnson, Ethan Masias, and Miguel Avina.
