Leonard Thomas Shimell

Leonard Thomas Shimell was born October 30, 1961 in Elmont, New York to Madeline and Arthur Shimell. He graduated from Aldine ISD soon after attended Kingwood College.

Leonard married the love of life Margaret Gibbs on April 17, 1995 in Cleveland, Texas. Who he shared the love for nature and many beautiful years. Leonard’s loved Nascar, going dirt biking, four wheeling and many more outdoor activities. He saw God in nature.

He is survived by his wife Margaret Gibbs, brother Bill Shimell (spouse) Mary Beth, nephew Jody, nieces Wendy, Anna, Tammy, Clair, Ashley, Shyann, Cousin Victoria, Jay, Noreeh. Also surviving are his sister -in- law Devonna (spouse) Wendell and his beloved dog Jena.

He is preceded in death by his mother Madeline Shimmel, father Arthur Shimell.

A graveside service for Leonard will be held Sunday, January 22, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Tram Road Baptist Church Cemetery, 15398 S Tram Rd, Splendora, TX 77372.

Please join the family after the service at New Beginning Baptist Church for fellowship at 26455 Christine Dr. Splendora, TX 77372.
