I am gutted that I am only learning about Leonard's passing after over a year. What a sad loss. I remember Leonard for all the good he always did for everyone. This is surely heaven's gain. I pray for God to accept his soul and give his entire family the strength and fortitude to bear this loss.

I Remembered we met in the year 2004 in port Harcourt young and fresh looking guy 😇,  we lost contact and then met again through Facebook, by then you were married. I worked for almost two years with Leonard in Doha and was graced with his calm, steady counsel. He was a true gentleman, with guarded strength, unshielded humour and obvious charm.
Learning of his passing filled me with sadness.
I pray for his family they console themselves with many happy memories of Leonard in their lives. May peace be with them.

My God! Where does one begin especially waking up first thing on a Sunday morning in Abuja and seeing my dear sister message that her husband is no more on earth. I thought it was a joke only to call her and have her confirm it. 

I said but we just spent the summer with you all in Houston. I remember him telling Ogho and I that we were babying our boys and that they should toughen up. We laughed it off and enjoyed that day relaxing and watching tv. 

The very last time we saw him was when he dropped off my kids back at the hotel and he was really speaking in Pidgin English with my husband. He always tried to adopt the  Nigerian way of speaking which we all thought was commendable and funny as well. 

Mr. Dixon was always fun to be around and no dull moment around him. He will be sorely missed and I pray that the Holy Spirit comforts his wife and family that passes all understanding in this very difficult moment of their lives.

First time I met Leo back in the days was around 2008 at the Rig in Nigeria. He was sitting amongst the locals having an interaction during coffee break. He assisted to create space for Gyro testing to take place on deck for us. Unfortunately, that was the last time I ever met him. When I came into Baker Hughes much later, I found that he was OG’s husband. May the gentle soul of Leonard Dixon rest in the bosom of the Lord. Amen.

I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Leo. I met him at a Brothas and Sisters of Qatar Meetup back in 2014. He was always encouraging and supportive of me as a new Expat in Qatar. Every year I paid tribute on my Facebook Page to my Father who passed away in 2005; and Leo never failed to send his support.
