Jesus "Jesse" Gauna Quintero, Jr., 73, of Spring, Texas entered into rest on June 6, 2020. He was born in Harlingen, Texas on February 20, 1947 to parents Jesus Quintero, Sr., and Maria Luisa Gauna. Jesse studied for three and a half years at the University of Texas-Pan American in Edinburg, Texas.
Jesse was married to the love of his life Rosalinda "Rosie" Villarreal Quintero for almost 46 years, and never missed a chance to give her bouquets of red roses - his favorite way of saying "I love you" and "I'm sorry". Together they raised two beautiful children, Monica Christina and Jesse III. They in turn gifted him with two grandchildren, Jesse Quintero IV and Alexandra Annette Quintero, to carry on his legacy.
During his life, he worked as a salesman for cable TV - from which he earned the 1986 Chairman's Cup from Warner Cable and the 1993 Top Sales Award from TCI Cablevision of Texas - and went on to open his own tire business. In his spare time, he loved to garden and was especially proud of his Aloe Vera plants. He also enjoyed watching wrestling and Spanish TV shows.
Jesse was an incredibly devoted husband, father, and grandfather who made sure his family were always following the path of Christ.
Jesse is survived by his darling wife Rosie, children Monica Christina and Jesse III, and grandson Jesse Quintero IV, along with his sisters Julia Dominguez, Rosa Atteberry, and Alma Gloria Hernandez.
