James Andrew O'Connor

Jim was born in Jersey City, New Jersey December 31, 1947. He served proudly in the United States Army during Vietnam as a dog handler. He returned to the states and met Sandy. She became the love of his life and they settled down in the Houston area. He eventually became an air conditioner and heating specialist for over 40 years.

Jim loved riding his motorcycle especially to Galveston. He enjoyed the peacefulness of the beach. He would fix almost anything and for anyone. He enjoyed mentoring and would teach anyone who wanted to learn. Jim loved his family and valued any chance he was able to spend time with them. He was always so proud how his children flourished and felt blessed to have wonderful grandchildren and great granddaughter.

He is survived by his wife, of 48 years, Sandra O’Connor, his brother Thomas O’Connor, his son and daughter in-law Jason and Derrie O’Connor, his daughter in-law Allie O’Connor, his 5 grandchildren Haley, CJ, Trinity, Andrew, and Vanessa O’Connor, and great granddaughter Capri. He was predeceased by his son Thomas O’Connor.
