He was born in Fairfield, Alabama on July 19, 1944, James attended and graduated from San Jacinto High School.
On May 22, 1964, he married the love of his life, Anne H. Gregory.
James was a skilled electrician and spent his career working for IBEW-International Brotherhood Electrical Workers.
He loved to travel and see the world. His other passions were in woodworking and staining glass, both of which he became exceedingly proficient in.
He was survived by his wife Anne H. Gregory, daughters Jamie Blevins, Rhonda Gregory. Grandchildren Cameron Blevins, Carsen Blevins, Shane Edwards, Shawn Edwards & numerous other relatives.
He is preceded in death by parents Kline Gregory, Marilyn Lay, brother Kline, Sisters Reba and Martha.
A viewing for James will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Porter First Baptist Church, 24570 FM1314, Porter, TX 77365. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 24570 FM1314, Porter, TX 77365. A committal service will occur Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home & Cremations, 21723 Aldine Westfield Rd, Humble, TX 77338.
Serving as pallbearers are Eric, Shane, shay, Steve, David, Nathan, Joey and Jeff.
