George attended Lovejoy High School in Brooklyn, Illinois. In his early days, George loved playing softball and later in life you could always catch George singing, cooking, fishing and Praising God while reading his Bible.
George is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Teresa Patton whom he referred to as "My Sweet"; his children, Venetia Patton, Craig Patton (Tanya), Carmen Jones (Gregory); his other children whom he took into his heart, Keith Minor (Mashyllia), Jonell Childress, Ruby Edmond and Brandon Anthony; his 7 grandchildren; his 12 great grandchildren; special nieces & nephews, Margaret Dozier, Dwight Fletcher, Abbie Fletcher & Stephen Fletcher, along with many other nieces and nephews; his special friends, Teddy (Maxine), Charles (Brenda), Lemmie and Herman and his pet Barack.
He is preceded in rest by his parents Ozzie Patton Sr. and Birdie Patton his daughter Patricia Minor and his son James Minor; his two brothers Ozzie Patton Jr., Carl Patton and his four sisters, Deloise Patton Willis, Velma Maxine Howard, Betty Monk, & Ella Jane Scott. He was also preceded in rest by Molly H. Hawthorne & Willie Minor.
On behalf of the family we would like to thank the ICU staff at Memorial Hermann Hospital, the Serenity Care Solutions for Hospice and the staff at Little Cozy Adult Home Care, James Green, and a special thanks to Vanessa Austin.
