Frank Oballe Escobedo Jr., age 85, of Houston, Texas passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024. Elida Pena Escobedo, age 82, of Houston, Texas passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024. Frank was born on December 15, 1938 and raised in Houston, TX and Elida was born on February 2, 1942 in Brownsville, Texas.
Frank worked for Electro Chem as a nickel plater for over a decade. He then went on to work and retired from Kroger Co. Frank & Elida had 3 children and was all about his family. Often traveling to Mexico and Galveston, his kids grew up fishing every chance he could take them. Frank loved cars and motorcycles, and was always working on a car, bike or boat and he loved it.
Elida worked as a receptionist for Dr. Rafael Valenzuela for over 20 years until her retirement in 2004.
She loved spending time with her family, gardening, making tamales, and watching the Houston Astros. She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Frank Escobedo.
They are survived by their daughter, Zulema Musgrove and husband Douglas Musgrove Sr., daughter Emily Terrazas and husband Louie Terrazas III, and son, Juan F. Escobedo and wife Monica Escobedo, 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren .
A visitation for Frank and Elida will be held Friday, February 23, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 21723 Aldine Westfield Road, Humble, TX 77338. A celebration of life will occur Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 21723 Aldine Westfield Road, Humble, TX 77338. A committal service will occur Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 21723 Aldine Westfield Road, Humble, TX 77338.
