Donald Keith Bustin

On August 23, 2015, Donald Keith Bustin, our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend went to be with the Lord. He passed away at his sister Carolyn’s home after a year-long courageous battle with cancer.

Dad was born in Houston, Texas, on November 21, 1944, to father J.C. Bustin and mother Mattie Lee Bustin. He is preceded in death by both parents as well as by his brother James Bustin and his baby girl.

He was married to Catherine Louise (Todaro) Bustin, who also preceded him in death, for 41 beautiful years. He loved his wife unconditionally and anyone who knew him also knew the love that he had for her.

He was a wonderful father to five children: Cynthia Junious, Don Anthony, Mario, Steven, and Jennifer Pierucci and loved them so much. Dad was a wonderful father-in-law to Bill Pierucci, Bilford Junious, and Rochella, who all loved him dearly. Dad had six grandchildren who were his heart: Chynna, Christopher, Brandon, Jason, Kaden, and Reagan. He also had two best friends: his sisters, Carolyn and Sharon, and I know they will miss him so much because he always made them smile.

Dad loved all his family and always made everyone laugh and smile with his great humor. He would always tell his nieces how beautiful they were every time they saw him, and I know they will hold this memory in their hearts. He loved his nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, cousins, and friends so much, and he smiled every time he saw them.

Dad never met a stranger and always made everyone smile with his humor and his many stories of old cars and concrete stories about where he poured a slab. He is described as a gentle giant, and he will be truly missed.

The visitation was held on Friday, August 28, 2015, at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 21723 Aldine Westfield Road, Humble, Texas 77338. The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, August 29th,, at Calvary Hill Funeral Home. Immediately following the service, interment will take place in Calvary Hill Cemetery.
