Dennis George Thorn

Dennis George Thorn was born to Ella and Walter Thorn on May 25, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan and being the joker he was, passed away on April Fool’s day of 2017. Dennis married the love of his life, Jane Thorn, on May 6, 1980 in Las Vegas. Although they had no children of their own, Dennis acted as a wonderful, caring, father figure to Jane’s brother Randy Watson.

Dennis provided for his family as a truck driver for over 40 years. He was known amongst his friends and family as MacGyver but to Jane, as “Mr. Make It Worse”. His fixes seemed to still need to be followed up by a phone call to an expert. What was never broken, was the love for his family and desire to seek adventure.

Motorcycles, jet skis, air boats, four wheelers, pizza, animals and classic cars filled Dennis’ life with endless entertainment as well as his get aways with Jane to the casino. He was a member of Blast From the Past classic car club and enjoyed attending classic car shows.

Left to cherish Dennis’ love and memory, is his devoted wife, Jane Thorn, mother, Ella Gimmik and husband Joe, brother Michael Thorn, sister, Pat Ryan and brother in law/son Randy Watson and countless other family members.
