Deborah Ann Morrison

Deborah was born on March 3, 1952, in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada to Albert Hansen and Margaret Bolton Hansen. She resided in Houston, Texas for 57 years where she raised two daughters, Karla and Kelly and one son, William. She owned an accounting business and had spent years helping her clients.

Deborah was the kindest, wittiest, most giving person you would ever meet. Her family meant everything to her and she loved them fiercely. She was always there for her friends and went out of her way to help make your life a little bit easier. Deborah always knew just what to say in any situation and was always the first one to forgive. She was a fabulous Grammy and doted upon her grandkids every second she could. Her trademark was being a genius of an accountant whose mission was to save businesses. She had a knack for bringing people together and was always the life of every party. This was apparent during each holiday when there would be decorations and family galore and she never said no to others joining in the on festivities. She enjoyed dancing, singing, and had an amazing talent to draw. She drew several breathtaking pictures in recent years and she was quite the poet and song writer too. There was never a challenge that she turned away from and she made it her mission in life to overcome them. Deborah loved not only following traditions but found ways to make new ones. She always dressed up for Halloween, had a pool party on July 4th, cooked a juicy turkey on Thanksgiving, and had a beautifully decorated tree on Christmas. Her smile and laugh were infectious and her jokes would bring you to tears. She had a great taste for fashion and never left the house without being dressed to the nines. Deborah made travel plans each year, some trips with family, some trips solo. On her solo trips she enjoyed her time at the casino where she always made new friends and tested her luck at the blackjack table. On family trips she planned each day to maximize the adventures for everyone. On some of these adventures she did things like snorkeled with stingrays, flew glider planes, rode horses on the coolie and went white-water rafting.

Deborah was preceded in death by her father Albert, her mother Margaret, and her brothers Miles and Leland.

She is survived by her three children, Karla, William, and Kelly, her three grandchildren, KC, Alex, and Lana, her siblings, Peggy, Evelyn, Faron, and Mitsy, and several cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

A visitation for Deborah will be held Tuesday, August 30, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 21723 Aldine-Westfield Road, Humble, TX 77338, followed by a celebration of life from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
