Curtis David Richardson

Curtis Richardson was born on March 7, 1944 in Pelican, Louisiana to the proud parents, Mr. Roy Richardson, Sr. and Ruby Lee Brown Richardson. Curtis was united in marriage to Dorothy Ledet on April 27, 1968.

Curtis took a special joy and pleasure by spending quality time talking, reading, praying and playing games with his children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Those special days and evenings will be forever etched in our hearts.

Curtis is preceded in death by his parents: Roy Richardson, Sr. and Ruby Lee Brown Richardson; granddaughter: Prince Ella Davion Parnell; sister: Annie Lee Jones; and brother: Ivory Charles Richardson.

Curtis will be sadly missed by his loving wife: Dorothy; daughters: Dion Andrea Richardson-Trower (Savalas Delano Trower) and LaTrina Ann Richardson; grandson: Bryan Lockeridge; granddaughters: Lillian Victoria Parnell, Brianna Richardson and Andrika Thomas; and beloved apple of his eye great-granddaughter: Marcilla Iyanla Parnell.

He is further survived by his sisters: Lavenia Scott and Shirley Payne (Felix); and brothers: Willie Richardson, Roy Richardson, Jr. (Pearl) and Murphy Richardson, Sr. (Carolyn).

In addition to his life he was highly respected and loved by his godson: Emmanuel Cole; goddaughter: Sabrina Johnson (Dream Eyes); sisters-in-law: Irene Botley (Bishop Rodney, Sr.) and Barbara Carter; brothers-in-law: Carroll Ledet (Annette), Wilmer Ledet (Teresa) and Elvin Ledet (Penny); and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends near and far.
