Clara Bradberry, age 93, of Houston, Texas passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022. Clara was born May 20, 1929 in Leuchtenburg, Germany, to Michael Hammer and Barbara Meier. Clara moved to the United States with her late husband, John H. Bradberry Jr., in 1960. Once in the states, they were based at Ft. Hood, Ft. Sam Houston and finally Ft. Sill, before moving to Houston where she was a resident for 54 years.
Clara is survived by her sons, Mike Bradberry of Houston, Texas and William Bradberry and wife Beth, of Magnolia, Texas. Clara is further survived by 6 grandchildren: Ross Bradberry and wife Stephanie of Houston, Stefani Schulte of Waco, Miranda Schulte of Houston, Eric Bradberry of Magnolia, Matthew Bradberry and Aaron Bradberry, both of Houston and 2 great-grandchildren: Ethan Bradberry and Levi Bradberry of Houston. Additionally, Clara has many relatives still in her home country of Germany.
A visitation for Clara will be held Monday, October 10, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 21723 Aldine-Westfield Road, Humble, TX 77338, followed by a funeral service from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Clara's interment will take place in a private ceremony on Wednesday, October 12, at the Houston National Cemetery.
