Betty Ann McInturff King, age 90, of Spring, Texas, passed away Friday, April 19, 2024. She was born in Harrisonburg, Virginia on September 2, 1933 to Edward Kern and Mary Hilda McInturff. She graduated from Linville-Edom High School, earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and later earned her Bachelors of Arts in Public Administration at Houston International University. She married David Russell King Jr. on July 31, 1955. Betty King worked for over 30 years as a Registered Nurse within the ICU and E.R, and was later promoted to Nursing Director and Nursing Supervisor.
She was a devoted follower of God and had a passion for reading scripture, quilting, crocheting, Hallmark movies, and a quick game of Sudoku. She is survived by her daughters Cheryl Christie, Cindy Henson, Carol Bowen, and Crystal Taylor; her grandchildren Jamie Henson, Lauren Christie, Chad Henson, Cory Henson, Amy Henson, Bethany Taylor, David Bowen, and Sarah Taylor; her great-grandchildren Alissa Gower, Addison Davis, Avery Davis, Harper Davis, Addalyn Brooks, Athena Brooks, Emerson Henson, Holden Henson, Noah Henson, Hayes Henson, and Caleb Henson; and her siblings Larry McInturff and Joyce Suter. She was preceded in death by her husband, her twin infant sons David and Daniel, her parents, and six siblings. Visitation is Monday April 29, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM immediately followed by the funeral service beginning at 4:00 PM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 21723 Aldine Westfield Rd. A committal service will be the following day April 30, 2024 from 1:00 to 1:20 PM at Houston National Cemetery
