Alma Rosa Ramirez, a beloved wife, devoted mother, and a source of inspiration to all who knew her, peacefully passed away on August 23, 2023, after a courageous and prolonged battle with cancer. She was born on August 16, 1983, in Houston, Texas, and was 40 years old.
Alma's life was a testament to her strength, resilience, and unwavering love for her family. She leaves behind her loving husband, Erasto Marroquin (Rusty) and their two cherished children, Rylee Marroquin (6 years old) and Jade Ramirez (20 years old) who were her pride and joy.
Known for her radiant smile and her kind and compassionate nature, Alma touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She had an ability to make those around her feel cherished and supported, and her warmth was a beacon of light that lit up the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Alma had a deep and abiding love for butterflies, finding inspiration in their transformation and their ability to bring beauty even in the face of adversity. Just as a butterfly emerges from a cocoon, Alma faced life's challenges with grace and emerged stronger and more beautiful. Her love for these delicate creatures mirrored her own spirit – resilient and full of life.
Her eclectic taste in music, especially her love for weird alternative sounds, was a reflection of her unique and creative soul. Alma's appreciation for the unconventional and her willingness to embrace the different aspects of life endeared her to those who shared her passions.
In her spare time, Alma enjoyed spending time with her family and siblings, shopping and visiting new places. Her ability to find joy in the little things and to create lasting memories was a testament to her love for life.
A memorial service will be held in Alma's honor on September 1, 2023 at Garden Oaks Church of Christ, in Houston, TX.
