Age 83
Alice went to be with her loving Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 15, 2015.
Alice was born January 11, 1932 in Gallup, New Mexico. She married George Joseph Ulrich on May 31, 1951 and they were married close to 50 years. Alice began working with children and education at Assumption Church where she worked in the religious education sector teaching 3, 4, 5 and 6 year olds sharing with them the love she had in her heart for our Lord Jesus Christ, and directing other teachers and aids in fun and creative ways to impart knowledge of God’s blessings to all. Alice loved teaching, working with children and dedicated her life to their education, both in the private and public sector. She taught for 47 years, 25+ years of which was spent at Sweetwater Christian School, before being forced to retire due to health reasons.
As a member of Assumption Catholic Church for 45+ years, Alice served in many capacities and on several organizations, including as a member of the Parish Altar Society. She instituted the Summer Breeze program, which is still going strong today.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband George Ulrich, two grandsons, Stephen Carlile and C.J. Ulrich. She is survived by her five children Joseph Wesley Ulrich, Sherelyn Ulrich Dalton, Clayton Eugene Ulrich, Veronica Dee Ulrich Matthiesen and Daniel Wayne Ulrich, as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren, a great great grandchild, nieces, nephews and friends.
