Roberta Allen, born December 19, 1919, blessed her family for 96 years until her passing on April 16, 2016. She was born and resided in Waterford, CA for all 96 of those years. Roberta was married to Ed Allen for 55 years and together they raised their 5 children; Anita Shakeshaft, Larry Allen, Bill Allen, Collen Mills and Kathie Willey. Roberta worked at Contadina Cannery in Riverbank, CA as a Lab Technician until retiring after 32 years of employment. Roberta was known in her neighborhood as an extremely kind lady who always had a creative side that she expressed through her paintings, poetry and most importantly her sense of humor.
Roberta is survived by her family Darryl and Anita Shakeshaft, Larry and Marylin Allen, Bill and Grace Allen, Larry and Colleen Mills, Daryl and Kathie Willey as well as her 15 grandchildren.
A Memorial Service in honor of Roberta’s life will be held on April 22 at 10:00 A.M. in the Riverside Chapel at Lakewood Funeral Home 900 Santa Fe Avenue in Hughson, CA.
