I'd like to thank everyone for their condolences on my father's passing. I am writing this a week after my mother,  (Peter's wife) was laid to rest.

Without Peter and Gene, I would not be here where I am. I know what great people they were and their love to adopt me and my sister.
For that, I am especially greatfull.

Thank you to all the people at Lockheed, Keiser Engineers Livermore,  Lake Don Pedro Realty,  and to those friends I have grew up knowing

You are all special people to me and I will never forget any of you.

WE love you Uncle Peter and will miss you. I just wish we could have visited with you more. The miles between us in Bakersfield kept us at a distance but I enjoyed I talks on the phone with you and Aunt Gene. Rest in Peace. Love Always

My sincerest condolences for your loss. I met Peter, when he was a recruiter at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, in the early nineties. He was a great guy.

Peter Bern was a nice man who treated me well. He hired me at Lockheed in 1973. My condolences to his family!

Peter hired me to work for Lockheed back when he was a recruiter and I a young guy looking for work in the 1970's. Later, when he was with Kaiser Engineering, he hired me again to work for the Lawrence Livermore lab. Since his son Paul and I worked together on the same assignment at the lab, Peter and our coworkers (Paul, and Frank Eichenlaub) shared many a coffee break and an equally good number of laughs. I will always be grateful to Peter and will remember what a great guy and humanitarian he was. May God Bless and keep him. Regards, Jim Foye.
