Norman George, age 86, passed away in Modesto, Ca. on Sunday May 6, 2012. He was born in Depew Creek, Oklahoma to parents Robert and Edna (Gilliam) George. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the US Army and was employed by James River Corp. of Modesto for over 33 years. He belonged to VFW Post 3199 and the Moose Lodge in Modesto.
Norman is survived by his sons, Kevin and wife Anna George of Tulare, CA., David George of Modesto; grandchildren, Brandon George, Allyssa Lopez, Kailin George, Denise Atkins; great granddaughter, Ava Oceguerra and his sister Nadine Sanders of Oklahoma City, OK. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Wanda George, his brother, Bobby George and his daughter-in-law, Cindy George and step-son, Doyle Atkins.
