Mary Theresa Saputo Grubb

On the morning of July 16,2015, Mary Theresa Grubb passed away in her home surrounded by her family. Mary was 65 years old.

Mary was born in the town of Port Washington in Nassau county New York on May 30, 1950. She was the first child born to Lucille and Frank Saputo.

Mary was not fond of the weather in New York and moved to California in 1982. She had an affinity for the finer things in life, especially jewelry and diamonds. She became a certified gemologist where she excelled in her career until retirement. In 1997, she married Russell Grubb in Reno, NV.

Mary's greatest passion was cooking, especially during the holidays. She took pleasure in shopping, getting her nails done and anything that had to do with handbags; she loved her handbags. She doted over her grandchildren and loved spending time with them; she especially took enjoyment in going to Disneyland with them.

Mary was preceded in death by her mother Lucille Saputo. She is survived by her husband, Russell Grubb of Turlock, CA., father, Frank Saputo of Escondido, CA., brother, Anthony Saputo of Escondido, CA., children: Jason Marowitz of Cranberry Township, PA., Randy (Patti) Marowitz of Evan City, PA., Jamie Kuchma of Casselberry, FL., Justin Kuchma of Manhattan, NY., Jennie (Justin) Gonzalez of Escalon, CA., two step-children, Kimberly (Kenny) Silva of Turlock, CA. and Katlyn Grubb of Crockett, CA. and 8 grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home in the Riverside Chapel on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 1:00pm.
