Lucy Mae Turgeon

Lucy Mae Turgeon passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Garden Grove, Modesto. She was 88. She was born on August 5, 1927 to the late Efrain & Estella Smith. Lucy enjoyed being with her family, shopping, sketching, crossword puzzles and golf. (She especially enjoyed bragging about her hole-in-one).

Lucy is predeceased by her loving husband Robert B. Turgeon and is survived by her sons, Duane Buchanan (Janis), Arthur Turgeon, daughters Pam Vanderford (Wayne), Edith Tucci (Larry), granddaughters Tammy Burtschi (Cory), Angela Parreira (Joe) and Anna Mae Rivera, grandson Joseph Tucci (Katie), great grandsons Caden Burtschi, Joseph and Jordan Parreira and Chase Tucci, great granddaughters Morgan and Madison Drobnick, Peyton Burtschi, Anna Parreira and Meah Tucci. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives.

The family wishes to thank all of those at The Stratford and Garden Grove who cared for her. They were all angels. Also hospice, for all their loving care and support.

There will be a viewing for family and friends at Lakewood Funeral Home in Hughson on Friday, July 15, 2016 from 5pm – 7pm. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 11am in the Honor Garden at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations can be sent in Lucy’s memory to Community Hospice 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto, CA 95356.
