Linda is lovingly remembered and will forever be adored by her husband of 60 years, Vernon ‘Vern’ Silva, her children, Charlotte (Chris) Port, Marcie (Brent) Barrick, and Norman Silva, and her former daughter-in-law, Francine. Linda will also be devotedly revered and greatly missed by her four grandchildren, Matthew, Brittany, Scarlett, and Stephanie, her great-grandson, Maddoxx, her sisters, Mary (Don) Davis and Shelia (Jim) Bowen, her brothers-in-law, Steve Zeigler and Norman (Toni) Silva, her sister-in law, Antionette ‘Toni’ (Merle) Pearson, and many nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by her parents, Irby and Cordelia King, and siblings Allen King and Betty (Zeigler).
Linda was, and remains, deeply loved by her husband and her family. She was renowned for her quick wit and was cherished for her lively sense of humor. Born in Spiro, Oklahoma, Linda settled with her family in California as a young child and enjoyed an active, rewarding, and prosperous life with her beloved Vern, the teenage sweetheart who became her devoted husband and lifelong partner in 1957. While raising her three children and indulging in her grandchildren and her great-grandson, Linda found time to enjoy a variety of interests that spanned a lifetime and included waterskiing, RVing, camping, motorcycle touring, bowling, gardening, family gatherings, and rooting for the San Francisco Giants. Linda treasured her husband and her family and will forever be remembered for the weight she pulled, the smiles she cultivated, the hearts she lifted, and the lives she enriched. Godspeed, Nana.
A Funeral Service in memory of Linda will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., at Lakewood Memorial Park, 900 Santa Fe Avenue, Hughson, with her nephew, Jerry Bowen, officiating. Internment at Lakewood Park will immediately follow. Friends and neighbors are welcome to join Linda’s family in their celebration of her life.
