Dr. Lachhman Singh Hundal

Dr. Hundal, son of late Nagina Singh Hundal and late Ishar Kaur Hundal, graduated from Lahore Veterinary College with a B.V.Sc. in 1946 and later started his teaching career at the Punjab Veterinary College in Hisar. In 1959, he came to the United States to further his education at Ohio State University. After receiving his Masters and PhD, he returned to India and continued to teach at Punjab Agricultural University until he retired as Professor cum Head of Animal Science Department in 1986. In 1987, he moved to the United States where he lived with his family. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed playing golf, being active, and spending time with his family and friends. Dr. Hundal is preceded in death by his sister, Surjit Kaur Dhillon, and brother, Dr. Pritam Singh Hundal. He is survived by his wife, Parkash Kaur, his children, Gurchetan S. and Surinder K. Hundal, Dalbir S. Hundal, Dr. Talminder S. and Ravinder K. Hundal, and Drs. Gulsharn Kaur and Kamaljit S. Kooner, and his nine grandchildren.

Many admired him for his calm nature, strong will, wisdom and generosity. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.
