Josie Chipponeri Robinson Apr 1, 1926 - Mar 17, 2017 Josie, 90 of Modesto died Friday of complications from Alzheimer's. She was born in Wyandotte, Michigan to Sicilian Immigrant parents, Nicolo and Matia Chipponeri. She came to California as an infant with her family and settled in Ceres. Josie lived in the Modesto, Ceres area after she married Ed in 1945. In 1966 they moved to Woodland, Ca. In the eighties, they moved back to Modesto where they lived out the rest of their lives. Josie loved spending time with her brothers, sister, their spouses, her family and grandchildren. She also enjoyed attending grandchildren's sporting events, road trips in their RV, the desert when the cactus was in bloom but also enjoyed clamming and fishing. Josie loved the challenge of a good puzzle or a board game of any kind and was always up to for a good card game. She was both a Giant's and an A's fan. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ed Robinson, a daughter, Bambi Cerato, a son, Ed Jr. both parents, her Brothers Bill, August, Jim, Nick, Andy and Joe, Chipponeri, Sisters; Ann Bauman and Angie Doerksen. She is survived by her son Fred Robinson (Gloria) of Atwater and her daughter, Tina Havers (Doug). Six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In lieu of flours donations may be made to Community Hospice of Modesto or Alzheimers.org.
