Jose loved the outdoors, gardening, painting, listening to music, and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed traveling home to El Salvador to visit his friends and family. Rosa, Jose’s wife of 54 years, was loved dearly by him. They were best friends, and absolutely inseparable. He loved his kids and all of the generations of grandchildren and great-grandchildren that followed. He was generous, kind, loved to joke and laugh, and cared deeply about his loved ones. His biggest sacrifice was leaving his home and the country he loved, for the safety and security of his family.
Jose is survived by his loving wife, Rosa Maria; daughters Celia Maria and Juanita; and son Jose Rodolfo Antonio. Grandchildren: Justine Alexandra, Anthony Jose, Rodolfo Cipriano, Zachary Austin, Pablo Antonio, Zavier Alonzo, Alberto Elias, Raymundo Emilio, Tatiana Alessandra, Madison Isabella, Janay Mariana, Isaiah Demasio, Natalia Mariela, and Santino Antonio. Great-Grandchildren: Dean, Oliver, Marilena, Camila, and Aveya.
Jose is preceded in death by his father, Rodolfo; mother, Juanita; brother, Cipriano; and sister, Beatriz.
Three hours after Jose’s passing, his sister, Flor, passed away in El Salvador.
A viewing for Jose will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lakewood Funeral Home, followed immediately by his funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM. A reception will occur in the Riverside Chapel at Lakewood Funeral Home following Jose's funeral service.
