A celebration of life will be held at First Baptist Church of Hughson 2230 6th Street in Hughson .
Jackie was born September 21,1948 to Clyde (Bill) and Jimmie Williams in Ceres,Ca. She married James R. Tomlinson of Hughson on June 16,1965.
Her compassion for others led her into nursing where she first received her LVN from MJC in 1980. She worked at Memorial Hospital (Modesto) while continuing her education education and eventually became a RN. She worked for Satellite Dialysis, Doctors Hospital and finished her career at Scenic Hospital where she was forced to retire after over 30 years of Nursing due to Multiple Sclerosis . She was a energetic,intelligent, compassionate woman who enjoyed her job and truly made a difference to the lives of the people she came in contact with. She was a strong Christian who enjoyed being involved in anything church service had to offer. Her family was important to her and she enjoyed spending time in family activities and spoiling her grandkids and great grandkids. In her 50’s she took up quilting and excelled at it, actually winning Best of Show at the Stanislaus County Fair the one time she entered .
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of nearly 53 years. She leaves behind her daughter Kelly Tomlinson of Denair, son Jamie(Donna) Tomlinson of Turlock, 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Sister Linda Fisher and brother Clyde (Wes,Butch) Williams both of Hughson.
