With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Jack McFarland Boyer on October 10th, 2023. Born on March 3, 1941, Jack's journey was filled with unwavering dedication, boundless love, and an infectious zest for life.
Central to his life was his cherished wife, Ruby Boyer. Their union was a beautiful tapestry of shared dreams, mutual respect, and a love that withstood every challenge. Together, they ventured into the world of daycare, a business that became more than a livelihood—it was a heartwarming journey. If Jack were here today, he would undoubtedly express his heartfelt gratitude to each child and parent, saying, "Thank you for keeping me young."
Jack is lovingly remembered by his children: Sherrie Heath, her husband Forrest; and his son, Jack Jr. His pride and joy extended to his grandsons, Nick Boyer (and his wife, Cassandra), Kenny Boyer, and Roman Heath.
The profound bond Jack shared with his late brother, Ralph Boyer, lived on. Ralph's children, Mark Boyer and Sandra Donnelly, her husband Chris, and their daughter Kristin Donnelly, hold cherished places in Jack's heart.
Family ties were further strengthened through Jack's close relationship with his sister-in-law, Kim Souza, and brother-in-law, Jeff Souza, along with their children. The joy he derived from spending quality time with his nieces and nephews was evident, creating countless cherished memories together.
Jack's service as an Army veteran was not merely a duty but an experience that profoundly shaped his life. His commitment was further demonstrated in a dedicated career with the federal government. After retirement, his roles at the Handyman hardware store and Stop and Save convenience store became more than jobs; they were stages where he connected, shared heartwarming tales, and enriched the lives of those he encountered.
Outside his professional realm, Jack's passions resonated deeply. From tranquil fishing outings to spirited card games, crafting art, or displaying his renowned bowling skills, every activity was infused with Jack's authentic enthusiasm.
Above all, Jack stood as a beacon of respect and kindness. His inherent warmth, steadfast integrity, and genuine concern for everyone set a remarkable example. His life was a testament to how one person, with love and integrity, can touch countless hearts.
In remembering Jack McFarland Boyer, we celebrate a life illuminated by joy, wisdom, and a love that radiated to everyone fortunate enough to know him. A private service will be held to honor and remember his indomitable spirit.
Rest in peace, you will forever remain in our hearts…
