Born in Marshfield, Wisc., Eugene graduated from Gustine High and received an AA Degree from Modesto J.C. He worked for BNSF Railway for 37 years.
Eugene leaves a wife, Cynthia; sister, Barbara Edwards (Jim) and brothers Jim (Becky) and DuWayne (Dorthy). Niece, Nona Baptist (Gary) and nephews Ryan Edwards (Michelle) and Dwain Miller (Chrissy), one great niece and three great nephews.
A gathering in his honor will be held at the Oakdale Saddle Club, 1624 East F. Street, Oakdale, CA 95361, 209 847 4083 on Sunday, August 26th beginning at 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM with the eulogy at noon. Refreshments will be served.
In lieu of flowers anyone wishing to donate in Eugene’s memory can send a contribution to Rivers of Recovery, P.O. Box 1730, Jackson, WY 83001. Eugene was an outdoorsman and his values are exemplified by the Rivers of Recovery who provide combat veterans with a rehabilitation program that focuses on outdoor activities.
