Emma was born in Santa Barbara, Chihuahua, Mexico to Carlota Sanchez and Justino Garcia on January 15, 1946. She married the love of her life, Jose de Jesus Cano on December 18, 1965 in Santa Barbara, Chihuahua, Mexico. She worked as a Quality Control Supervisor for Escalon Packers for 36 years. She worked many different jobs to provide and support her family. Although she had a difficult childhood after losing her mother at a young age, she always maintained a positive attitude and had so much love to give. She lived life to its fullest and enjoyed dancing, cooking, helping anyone in need, bringing her family together and keeping her family united during the good and bad times. She was a devoted wife and loving Mother, and mother figure to many. She had a love for travel and making new friends; she was fortunate to have done both with her long time friends and had many memorable experiences including climbing the Great Wall of China, hiked the Dunn’s River Falls in Jamaica, visited the Holy Land in Jerusalem and was baptized in the Jordan River, enjoyed ice cream while walking alongside the Malecon/seawall and riding on a donkey drawn carriage in Cuba, visited live volcanoes in Costa Rica, explored Hawaii by visiting seven islands by cruise ship; visited the Sears Tower and Michael Jordan’s Statue in Chicago, and many regions of her beautiful native Mexico and the United States.
Emma is preceded in death by her parents Carlota Sanchez and Justino Garcia.
