While still in high school on February of 1967, one special Sunday morning the family attended the Spanish Carlsbad Apostolic Church. This is where she met the very handsome U.S. Marine from Camp Pendleton (Mariano M. Torres), he was the young man she knew back in Modesto in 1959. They had not seen each other in many years. They started dating in 1967 and fell in Love. The Bonse Family moved to Carlsbad and started attending the Apostolic Church which was under the pastorship of Bro. Efrain Nava and Sister Rosa Nava.
