Edna Augusta Ramsey

EDNA AUGUSTA RAMSEY Sept 20, 1928 - May 13, 2015 Edna Augusta Ramsey went to be with the Lord May 13, 2015. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Ellness Convalescent Hospital. Edna met Verlin Ramsey while she was working at her dad's grocery store in Oklahoma. They married Oct 2, 1945 and had a beautiful marriage together for nearly 65 years. They raised three sons Rich, Gary, and Dave. Edna was a beauty school instructor from 1962-1973 and worked as a beautician at Gary's Kut and Kurl from 1973-2003. For 50 years she was a pastor's wife serving in the church as a Sunday School teacher, Organ player, and working with the youth. Her sense of humor always lead her to being the life of the party. She was always up for an adventure whether it be rolling in the waves in Hawaii or going back to her roots in Oklahoma and attending the Hatfield reunions. Edna loved surrounding herself with family and friends. For her 5'2" stature she stood tall with her Faith and personality embracing life to the fullest. Because of that day that Verlin walked into the store and gazed upon Edna and they lived their happily ever after a legacy was created leaving Rich (Wilma) Ramsey, Gary (Rhonda) Ramsey, Dave Ramsey, along with 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 11 am at Turlock Freewill Baptist Church located at 2217 Geer Rd. Turlock.
