Louise Nutcher Howard was born in Telephone, Texas to Arthur & Mae Davis on January 25, 1933. She passed away peacefully into heaven at the age of 91 years & 10 months. During her childhood the family made their way from Texas to California, where she resided her remaining years.
Louise attended Turlock High School & Modesto Junior College. In 1949 she married Robert Nutcher of Turlock. Together they welcomed 3 daughters. She worked many years as a bookkeeper & office manager and was involved in the Modesto Credit Women’s International. In 1987 Louise married Hank Howard and they enjoyed several cruises.
Louise enjoyed several cruises, trips to Japan, Hawaii, & lots of traveling in their RV. Her favorite hobby was shopping on QVC for her beloved “Bob Mackie” designs & even briefly speaking to him on the phone as she was placing her order! She was lovingly called “Fancy Grams” by her grandson.
She thoroughly enjoyed being involved in the Christian Women’s Fellowship with the wonderful ladies at First Christian Church where she was a member.
Louise is survived by her three daughters, Barbara Nance (Joe), Bev Olson (Ken), Bea Silva (Joe) all of Turlock.
8 Grandchildren: Rob Nance (Lisa), Stephanie Pimentel (Raf), Steve Olson (Sarah), Brian Olson, Eric Olson (Megan), Jaime Hammond (Gerry), Marc Silva (Jarrod), & John Silva, as well as Nana to 12 Great-grandchildren & 2 Great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Hank Howard, 2 sisters, 2 brothers, & one great-grandson.
A visitation for Dorothy will be held Sunday, December 1, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lakewood Funeral Home in the Heritage Chapel, located at 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, CA 95326. A graveside service will occur Monday, December 2, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Lakewood Memorial Park in the Evergreen Garden. Following the graveside service will be a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Lakewood Funeral Home in the Heritage Chapel.
