Christopher John Perino, Quartermaster 3rd Class, U.S. Navy,
died accidently while stationed in Yokosuka, Japan, on June 25, 2010.
Christopher was born in Modesto on August 17, 1984.
He attended Modesto High School, starring in cross-country track and twice
given Panther Awards. He received a medal for running in the San Francisco Marathon.
He attended Modesto Junior College and worked at Sears Robuck before enlisting
in the navy. After completing basic training at the Great Lakes Naval Station,
he was assigned to a ship in Japan. Christopher was enjoying his time in Japan
and had recently asked his parents to come for a visit at his expense. The ship's
Captain Robert Marin, stated that Christopher was well liked by all his shipmates.
Christopher was a very loving and caring man and an avid outdoor's man; enjoying fishing,
camping, and hiking. He is survived by his parents Harry and Linda Perino of Modesto,
and his girlfriend Abigail Rodrigues of San Diego. Also survived by his aunts and uncles
Margaret (Ned) Sinerate, Florence (Ray) Glenn, Santa (Frank) Scaroni, Marie Perino,
Marietta Perino, Peter (Mary) Perino, Mary (Samuel) Hoskison, and cousins
Steve (Jennifer) Glenn, Susan (John) Glenn, Joan DeLeo of Florida, Mark (Heidi) Scaroni,
Paul (Denise) Scaroni, Nancy Ann (Danny) Stephens, Nick (Janice) Perino, Pam (Kevin) Heinrich,
Julie Perino, Pete (Renee) Perino Jr., Debra (David) Barrett, Kim Rhodes, Julie, Fred,
and Emma Cisneros, Terry and Michael Summers, Sherri, Gerald and Joseph Hawkins and Teresa Wren.
Also survived by his God Parents Phil and Louella Cruz.
Christopher, we miss you terribly and will forever cherish your memory. Mom and Dad.
Services will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park on Saturday, July 17 at 10:00 a.m.
