Brian Richard Jackson passed away at age 53, in Modesto, California, on June 17, 2020. Brian passed with his loving family by his side and both of his sons holding his hands while comforting him and telling him how much he was loved.
Brian was born in Modesto, California, on May 15, 1967 to James Lee Jackson and Karen Elizabeth (Smith) Jackson. Brian was raised in Modesto by his father James Lee Jackson, his stepmother Joyce Ann Jackson, and his mother Karen Elizabeth Jackson.
Brian attended Muncy Elementary School, Prescott Jr. High School, and graduated from Grace Davis High School in 1985.
Brian was a lifelong resident of Modesto and began his first job at the age of 16 working as a gas station attendant for Chevron, on McHenry Ave. At the age of 17, Brian started working at his father's transmission shop, Jim's Transmissions, and worked there as a builder for the next 36 years.
Brian is survived by his loving sons, Travis and Justin Jackson, and Travis's longtime girlfriend Tamra Lazzarino, whom Brian loved like a daughter. Brian is also survived by his father James Jackson, step mother Joyce Jackson, mother Karen Jackson, brother James "Jimmy" (Cara) Jackson, brother Darryl Jackson and sister LuAnna Wehrman (Neal). Brian is also survived by his girl friend Jackie Eckert, as well as, his niece Cheyanna Jackson, nephew Joshua Jackson, nephew Kristian and Jordan Wehrman, and nephew Erik Maupin. He is also survived by many lifelong friends and one grand dog Bo Jackson.
Brian enjoyed anything automotive, whether it was racing, building and restoring cars, or just talking for hours about anything to with cars or trucks. Brian also very much enjoyed his years as a volunteer firefighter at Woodland Ave. Fire Department where he gained many friends.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2020 from 10:00am in the outdoor amphitheater at Lakewood Memorial Park and Funeral Home located at 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, CA.
