Betty Charlene Duncan

Betty Charlene Duncan, age 91, of San Dimas, California, passed away on 5/19/18. She was born in Correctionville, Iowa on 5/17/27. Betty graduated from Dorsey High School, Los Angeles, California. She was predeceased by three husbands, Jim Bullock, Wayne Dodge and E. Lawrence Duncan. Betty had a career in banking and retired from Wells Fargo Bank. Betty was a member of First Baptist Church (now known as Cross Pointe), Modesto, California before moving to Southern California with her daughter’s family. Betty enjoyed playing the violin and hand bells, singing in the church choir and playing in the church orchestra. She enjoyed traveling and camping. She is survived by daughters Linda Murphy of Washington and Debbie Short (husband John Short) of California and step-sons David Dodge (wife Libby Dodge) of Washington and Robert Dodge (wife Lucy) of Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her middle daughter Kathy Semancik. Betty has four grandchildren from her daughters: Douglas Murphy and Valerie Murphy of Florida, Sarah Jackson of Washington and Joshua Short of California. She also has five grandchildren from her step-sons and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on 5/29/18 at Riverside Chapel, Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson, California. A public viewing will be held at 10:00 am on 5/29/18.
