Barbara Jean Jackson

Barbara loved camping, fishing, working in the garden, crafting, quilting, and going for scenic drives. She enjoyed collecting cookbooks and always set the perfect table. In her long life she took many cruises as a chaperone to a local dance troop and always shared her fun experiences with family and friends. Barbara retired after 27 years with Hughson Elementary School as a Teacher’s Assistant, the last several years in Special Education. She was loved by all that knew her and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her two daughters, Lynda Bothe (Craig) of Poulsbo WA and Catherine Grube (Gary) of Turlock CA. Grandchildren Cameron Kroll (Maryanne) of Turlock CA, Adam Kroll (Victoria) of Sunnyvale CA, Beth King (Nick) of Turlock CA, Andrew Bothe (Melissa) of Newman CA, Scott Bothe (Camille) of Poulsbo WA and seven (soon to be eight) great-grandchildren. Siblings Mary Lou Costa of Cedar Fall, IA, and Viola Silva (Bob) of Fresno CA.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband Arlen H. Jackson, brother Louie Mendonca, sister-in-law Jody Mendonca and brother-in-law Francis Costa.
