Angelina Alvarez, 75 of Modesto, passed away on August 3, 2019 after 13 years of battling Alzheimer’s disease. She was born in Michoacan, Mexico on May 10, 1944 to Aurelio and Guadalupe Lopez. She met the love of her life, her soulmate, Miguel Alvarez and were married on January 24, 1962. Angelina worked for many years at Tri Valley Growers and in Agriculture. She was a hard working woman who would do anything for anyone in need. She was a great friend who loved God and her family. Family was everything to her and she was blessed with 6 children, 22 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, 11 siblings and an abundant amount of friends. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she loved to attend Mass. Angelina’s favorite things in life were Miguel, her husband of 57 years and her family. She loved listening to music, gardening, flowers and traveling back to her home town in Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aurelio and Guadalupe Lopez, her nephew David Salgado and her niece Adriana “Nani” Alfaro Arana. She is survived by her husband Miguel Alvarez, her son Jesus (Sylvia) Alvarez and her daughters Guadalupe (Florentino) Valdivia, Rosamaria (Mario) Cerezo, Lorena (Rick) Armendariz, Laura (Carlos IV) Martinez and Janelle Alvarez, her granddaughters Sheleeze (Allen) Aguir, Andrea Valdivia, Alexandria Cerezo, Maya Armendariz, Jazlyn Alvarez, Kayla Armendariz, Julia Armendariz, Jordyn Bucio and Natalyia Martinez, her grandsons Erik (Monique) Alvarez, Miguel Alvarez, Daniel (Carolina) Valdivia, Adrian Valdivia, Kaleb Cerezo, Isaiah Martinez, Elijah Martinez, Jesus Jr. Alvarez, Christian Cerezo, Keegan Cerezo, Kyle Cerezo, Julius Bucio and Jeremiah Bucio, her great-granddaughters Erikka Alvarez and Lillyanah Alvarez, her great-grandsons Keoni Aguiar, Kekoa Aguiar, Jayden Alvarez and Josiah Quinones. A visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, August 8th, with a Rosary at 7:00pm, at Lakewood Memorial Park, 900 Santa Fe Ave., Hughson. A funeral mass will be held at 9:30am on Friday, August 9th, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1813 Oakdale Rd., Modesto.
