Amelia Teixeira Alves Augst 22 1934- October 28 2015 A Loving mother, wife and grandmother, Amelia Teixeira Alves was born in Ribeira Seca Sao Jorge, and passed into eternal rest on October 28th 2015 in Modesto, CA. Amelia was a homemaker and helped her husband on the family dairy. Amelia will be remembered for her strong Catholic faith, the love that she bestowed on her family, caring nature and humbleness. She is survived by her sons Joe(Rebecca) Alves of Modesto, CA David(Jennifer) Alves of Hilmar, CA sister Rosa Azevedo of Ribeira Seca Sao Jorge. Grand children Jennifer Dolbee of San Diego, CA, Brayden Silveira Alves and Breahna Marie Alves of Hilmar, CA. Amelia was predeceased by her husband John Silveira Alves Sr. and her son John Silveira Alves Jr. Rosary and visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home on November 4th 2015 from 4pm to 8pm, Rosary at 7pm. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2015 at Our Lady Of Assumption, 2602 S Walnut Rd in turlock CA. at 10am. Burial to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson, CA.
