Patricia Marie Titus (79), of Hudson, Florida, and formerly of Sparta, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 30th, 2020. Patricia Marie Titus (Fields) was born in Brooklyn, New York on October 26th, 1940 and was the daughter of the late James T. Fields and Edna W. Fields. Patricia grew up in Brooklyn and graduated from Fort Hamilton High School, June, 1957. After High School, she held accounting and book-keeping roles for several major Wall Street firms, The Church Pension Fund and later served as a Dental Assistant. She met the love of her life at Coney Island one summer and was later married on October 21st, 1961 to her husband of 59-years, Richard W. Titus. Patricia was loving, empathetic, and always showed compassion. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother! She had a huge love for animals especially for her dog, Lilly, her precious companion and who continues to be spoiled. Patricia was an amazing mother, who only wanted the best in life for her family, a true servant as a leader. Patricia had a kind heart tending to the elderly and was known for her faith and charitable nature. She found solace in prayer and was a devote Catholic. Her
sincere love of people and life were evident by her affinity to connect and communicate with friends and strangers alike. Patricia had a loving heart and a zest for style and fashion, her smile and laugh would light-up any room. She had a passion for learning and an intellectual curiosity which led her to pursue college courses in English, Mathematics and Computers. She was later published by the Poetry Guild for her poem entitled “To be a Child.” She was strong and caring, with a positive attitude, and genuine enthusiasm for life. Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved parents James and Edna Fields; brother, Roy Fields; and son, Wayne William Titus. Patricia is survived by her husband, Richard (82); son, Lance; daughter-in-law, Cheryl; grand-children, Aubrey and Isabella; sister, Marilyn; brother, James; brother, Robert; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many beloved friends. A Celebration of Life remembering Patricia will be held this summer, which date is yet to be determined. Details will be forthcoming.
