Mary Donovan

Hudson, Florida. Mary Theresa (O'Callahan) Donovan, 80, formerly of Somerville, MA, passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late John (Jack) Donovan, who died in 2010.

Born in Cambridge, MA on (October 10, 1933), she was the daughter of the late Humphrey and Mary Anne (Driscoll) O’Callahan and attended St. Paul's and St. John's schools in Cambridge, MA. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Church, Somerville, MA where her sons served as altar boys.

Theresa and Jack moved to Great Cypress Village, Hudson, FL in 1990 and enjoyed hosting family and friends over the years. Theresa loved her trips to the casino boat playing slot machines and bingo. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.

She was the loving mother of her son Paul and is predeceased by her sons Bill, Bobby and John Donovan.

Theresa was the sister of Margaret O’Callahan, Josephine O’Callahan, Frances Grady, brother John O’Callahan, the late Eileen Ireton and sister in law of Terri Donovan. She also leaves nieces Kathaleen Hatfield, Maureen O’Callahan, Janet O’Callahan, Paula Stanton, Cheryl Alfano, Margaret Stewart and nephew Frederick Ireton III, the (late) Lisa Leveque, many grandnieces, nephews and good friends Deb, Zeb, Leroy, Sandee and Marilyn.

Services in Massachusetts will take place at a later date. Interment will be at Grace Memorial, Hudson, FL.
