George R. Stoll Jr. of New Port Richey, FL. passed away December 10, 2017.He was born in Netcong, New Jersey and graduated from Netcong High School in 1939. He served in the Army as a Staff Sergeant of the motor pool in Manitoba, Canada. He and his men designed one of the first snow mobiles made from a helicopter by taking off the blades and adding skis. After the service George married Elsie Albinson. They had one daughter and resided in Hopatcong, New Jersey for twenty years. He was involved with the volunteer fire department, past president of Kiwanis Club, and involved with first little league and teen youth center. He attended night classes at Rutgers University where he attained a management degree and many other licenses. He obtained the highest license obtainable in New Jersey Sewage Treatment which is License S-1 issued by the Department of Environmental Protection among others. George then moved his family to Lake Forest in Jefferson Township, New Jersey where he became Director of Health & Welfare for almost thirty years. He served on many committees such as Drug Abuse Council, American Public Health Assoc., Registered Sanitarian in National Environmental Health Assoc., and Water Pollution Control Federation at the National, State, and Regional level. He was an advisor for the Planning and Zoning Board, Board of Adjustment, Environmental Commission, and Local Public Assistance Board. He was also the owner/operator of Lakeland Laboratories which was certified by New Jersey State Department of Health. He was one of the original contributors to Holiday Community Fellowship Church in handling legalities. George is predeceased by his step brother David Bird; Sister, Ida Morrissey; and brother Theron. He is survived by daughter Sandra Bennett of New Port Richey, FL.; and granddaughter Kelly Bennett of Coconut Creek, FL. Services will be held January 7, 2018 at 2 pm at Holiday Community Fellowship Church 5144 Sun Ray Drive, Holiday, FL.
