George was born in Detroit Michigan on August 13, 1937 to the late William and Melva Atkinson
Georges worked for Steering Geer in Saginaw Michigan till his retirement and move to Florida in 1983. After retirement from general motors he held several different security jobs in Florida.
George married Marlene Hanover on the George ll fishing boat in Tarpon Springs Florida on July 22, 1986. She survives his passing. Also surviving are Daughters Kimberly (Ronald) Kennedy, Dawn (Dale) Gruszynski and Tracey (Keith) Sturm.
Grandchildren: Nicole (Dan) Frank, Rachel (Matt) VanSum eran, Stacy (Heath) Kennedy, Blake (Ashley) Sturm, Dana (Shawn) Dorman, Brittney (Michael) Sturm and Zachary (Jaclyn) Kennedy. Great grandsons: Anthony and Braxton Frank and Hudson Sturm.
George was preceded by his son Jeffrey Cook.
