Yolanda Elaine Washington was born on November 24, 1964 to Margaret L. Washington and James E. Washington Sr., in Nacogdoches, Texas. She later moved to Houston, Texas where she excepted Christ at an early age, at Nazarene Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Rev. Therie Washington. She was a faithful member of the choir and diligently served wherever needed, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Quincy Rodgers.
Elaine was a graduate of Lamar High School, class of 1983. She later went to beauty school and became a licensed beautician.
She united in marriage with Glenn Murray Lovett Sr., on June 25, 1983. In this union they were blessed with two beautiful children, Glenn Murray Lovett Jr., and Brittany Elaine Lovett. Later through the years came four grandchildren, Kyara Delores Lovett, Da’Marion Lamar Dancy, Kelis Veronica Lovett, and Daylen Lamar Dancy.
Elaine loved to cook, and her favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys.
Elaine was preceded in death by her father, James E. Washington Sr. She leaves to cherish her memories forever: Loving and devoted husband: Glenn Murray Lovett Sr., two children, Glenn Murray Lovett Jr. and Brittany Elaine Lovett; a son in law, Quindrick Lamar Dancy; four grandchildren, Kyara Delores Lovett, Da’Marion Lamar Dancy, Kelis Veronica Lovett, Daylen Lamar Dancy,: mother, Margart L. Washington (Billy Williams); sisters, Kathy Agnew (Marcel Randal),Sharon Lamerle Agnew, Jacqueline Agnew (Theodore Harbour), Margaret Ann Deckard of San Diego, a brother James E. Washington Jr., and Charity Hicks (Eric Hicks),two nieces, Tesia Harbour and Jasmine Hartsfield, two nephews, James L. Washington and Kendrea Heaggs, a favorite cousin/sister, Regina Agnew: a best friend since middle school, Sherre Harris: two goddaughters, Tiffany Harris and Keri Davis. A host of great nieces and great nephews, cousins, and friends.
